IARU REGION 3 AWARD

IARU Region 3 Award – Rules

The IARU Region 3 Award may be claimed by any licensed radio amateur eligible under the
general rules who can produce evidence of having contacted amateur radio stations in the
required number of countries whose national societies are members of the International
Amateur Radio Union (IARU) in Region 3 (Asia – Pacific Region).

Eligible countries are those in Region 3 whose amateur societies are members of IARU Region
3 as follows: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Chinese Taipei (Taiwan), Fiji, French
Polynesia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Caledonia, New
Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Pitcairn Island, Samoa, Singapore,
Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, Vanuatu, Vietnam, and country credit from US
Territories in the Pacific from Guam, Northern Marianas, American Samoa, Wake Island,
Baker Howland Group, as represented by ARRL or Chagos Archipelago (VQ9), represented by
RSGB.

The requirements for the IARU Region 3 Award from May 1 st , 2019 are as follows:

  1. Contacts with 5 (five) member countries for Basic,
  2. Contacts with 10 (ten) member countries for Silver Endorsement, and
  3. Contacts with 20 (twenty) member countries for Gold Endorsement.

It is possible to apply for the award for contacts made in the following modes:
MIXED, PHONE, CW, DIGITAL and SATELLITE.

Contacts can be made on the following bands: 160, 80, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10, 6, 2
meters, 70 and 23 centimeters.

All contacts must be made from the same country using the same call sign that belong to
the applicant (including special licenses for contests or events) and must be bilateral or
two-way.

Contacts in crossed modes and/or bands will not be accepted, except for Satellite Mode.

QSL cards are not needed for this award.

The IARU Region 3 Award has no cost.

The IARU Region 3 Award will be issued in digital file  (pdf format) and will be sent
directly by e-mail from the IARU Region 3 Award Manager to the applicant.

the IARU Region 3 Award Manager.

Submit a list of countries in Prefix Order, Call, and all QSO details Band Mode etc.
